I am amazed that my drawings show up on this site, I launched them at a Metalmeet site, my former name was Ben's Custom Metal which I changed in Ben's Metalshaping Shop.

I didn't see any of those details on the forum post he did, but it looks to be approx 2.5" square tubing. Others that commented on the build was going to use various sizes that were laying in scrap piles.

I would think you would probably want the point where the workpiece feeds in to be approx. elbow height.

What size of square tubing and wall size did you use for the stand? Also what is the height of your stand.
You did a great job!

I looked on James Riser's website (link at the bottom of original post) for more information. He has several pictures of the parts made for the mod. However, he specifically stated in the writeup that he does not provide any dimensions for the fabricated parts.

I did some further checking and another gentleman has made one based on Mr. Riser's design:

http://earlgpowell.blogspot.com/2010/06/circle-shear-for-techshop.html

I didn't find the mod details here either, but I'm sure you could send Earl an email or comment on his blog asking for them. I see in one of the pictures that he has it drawn up in a CAD like program - check to see if he is willing to share the drawings and report back!
